1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using DocuLens ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users including individuals, organizations, and authorized API consumers.
2. Description of Service
DocuLens provides an enterprise document intelligence platform for ingesting, extracting, analyzing, and querying documents using AI. Features include domain-specific configurations (Legal, Healthcare, Insurance, etc.), structured data extraction, compliance rule engines, and evidence-backed AI search.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Use the Service to violate any law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' workspaces
- Use the Service to compete with DocuLens or build a competing product
- Resell or sublicense access without written authorization
4. Your Content
You retain all rights to documents you upload ("Your Content"). By uploading, you grant DocuLens a limited, non-exclusive license to process Your Content solely to provide the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to upload Your Content and that processing complies with applicable laws (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
5. Subscription and Payment
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice.
Free tier accounts have usage limits as published on our pricing page. Exceeding limits may result in throttling or upgrade requirements.
6. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service ends immediately
- You have 30 days to export Your Content
- After 30 days, all data is permanently deleted
- Outstanding fees remain payable
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
AI-generated outputs (extractions, summaries, classifications) are probabilistic and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing AI outputs before relying on them for critical decisions.
DocuLens is a tool, not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, or other expert advice.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocuLens shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold DocuLens harmless from claims arising from your use of the Service, your content, or violation of these Terms.
10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification at least 30 days in advance.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of London, United Kingdom.
